This year's Pirate Alumni 5K race marked another successful year. A total of 194 runners and walkers registered to participate in the 2nd annual event.

Of 153 finishers in the 5K, Marc Phillips of Pittsboro and Holly Taft of Greenville led the pack, with times of 17:46 and 22:46.
